Apr (2020) Script was fixed and works now. Now (2018) LJ suppress any alien userscript by MutationObserver mechanism, probably. Use userstyle https://userstyles.org/styles/150839/livejournal-com-no-banner-restyle for use this restyle (or similar) instead.
